South Texas PAMA Veteran A&P Assistance Program

South Texas PAMA is proud to introduce the Veteran A&P Certification Assistance Program, designed to support current and transitioning military members and veterans as they pursue their FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.

Many military aviation maintainers leave service with extensive hands-on aircraft maintenance experience but face challenges navigating the FAA certification process and obtaining their FAA Form 8610-2 authorization. This program was created to help bridge that gap by providing mentorship, guidance, and financial assistance to qualified applicants pursuing their civilian A&P certification.

Financial assistance through this program may help cover expenses associated with obtaining an FAA A&P certificate, including FAA written exam fees, oral and practical testing fees, prep courses, study materials, travel, and lodging related to testing.

In addition to financial support, recipients will have access to mentorship and industry networking opportunities through South Texas PAMA members and partners.

Veterans bring discipline, technical expertise, leadership, and real-world aviation maintenance experience to the civilian workforce. Through this program, South Texas PAMA is proud to support those who have served our country while helping strengthen the future of the aviation maintenance industry.

Reduce financial burdens so veterans can fully commit to their studies.

Encourage persistence and prevent talented individuals from leaving the program due to financial constraints. Strengthen the aviation maintenance workforce by ensuring more veterans successfully complete their A&P training and certification.
